2022 Plans for Passive Income

In the last couple of months, I was busy playing chess tournaments and other activities. But I missed medium a lot. Still, I get 2–3 notifications on daily basis.

I tried to post generic articles but I understood that that is not a great way to build a real audience. Instead posting 2–3 articles in a month related to my personal experiences works.

Many of you commented and sent me a private note regarding passive income reports which I haven’t posted in the last 3 months. I will start posting again next week!

I was busy playing chess tournaments. I played the following tournaments

  1. 10 June — 17 June — Prague International Chess Festival
  2. 18 June — 26 June — Teplice Open Chess Tournament
  3. 28 June — 6th July — Serbia Open Chess Tournament
  4. 11 July — 18 July — Piestany Open Chess Tournament
  5. 22 July — 31 July — Pardubice Open Chess Tournament also known as Czech Open

In these tournaments, I stopped everything due to my busy schedule. I haven’t taught any students, haven’t written any articles, etc. I came back on 2nd August after my 55-day long trip to Europe.

Now I am planning to play the next tournaments from Dec 1st week.

The main thing I learned is to give atleast 1–1.5 hours to the website if I want to do it for many years.

My plans for 2022 — Next 100 Days (Approx)

Total Time I have

I am planning to spend atleast 3 hours per day on my side hustle from today itself until I am going to play tournaments. In December month, when I am playing tournaments, I can work for 1–1.5 hours per day approx.

Following are the number of hours I can spend my time.

  1. September — 25–30 hours
  2. Octomber — 80–90 hours
  3. November — 70–80 hours
  4. December — 30–40 hours

In total, I have 200–220 hours for building a passive income.

Focusing on one website

Thankfully in June 2021, I took full rights for one website. Before that, it was in partnership with him. We have already published 100+ articles with many grammar mistakes and zero SEO.

In an august month, I spent some time rewriting a few articles and editing almost all articles. I plan to grow that website to get an initial $100 per month by year-end.

In the next 3 months, I am planning to publish 35–40 articles there.

Youtube Channel and Short Video

I have already posted 10–12 good videos in the last few months. Now I am taking youtube seriously to build a second source of income. Usually, to produce chess videos, you don’t require any editing skills. Just record the video and publish it by doing basic SEO.

Within 2 hours, I usually record 5–6 videos.

I plan to publish atleast 1 long and 1 short video per week. Right now I have 146 subs on my YT channel.

In the next 3 months, I want to create 30–40 long videos and 40–50 shorts which will ensure that I will never be out of content.

The best part is I don’t make videos on a trending topic. I make evergreen videos on chess openings (Which few of you might know)

Posting on Medium

Planning to post my passive income journey and reports for my website. I am not sure how frequently I will post but mostly 2–3 articles per month.

I don’t post on this type of article to gain followers. Usually, these articles help me to get motivated when I read myself.

BTW Thank you to everyone who liked my passive income reports and following my journey!

Newsletter

I am not sure what to provide in the weekly newsletter but I want to start. Right now I have 200–250 emails and 450 subscribers to my LinkedIn newsletter. Few of them are top GMs.

Please give me suggestions on how to start a newsletter and what content I can provide in the newsletter.

These are a few plans to achieve in the next 100 days. What are your plans?
